Frequently Asked Questions:

Why are BCP prices on drugs so much lower than prices in the USA?
1) Prescription drug prices are lower in Canada because the Canadian government limits the amount pharmaceutical manufacturers can charge for brand name drugs.
2) Drug companies selling into Canada are not allowed to advertise their products.
3) Because of Patent Law differences between the United States and Canada, generic medications can become available up to 5 years sooner in Canada.

Do I need a prescription to order from BCP MEDS?
Yes, you need a valid prescription, written by a licensed physician , for up to a 90-day supply of each medication with up to three refills.

Can anyone in the USA use BESTCANADIANPRESCRIPTIONS?
Yes, anyone with a credit card, Master Charge or Visa, cashier's check or money order, and a valid prescription can benefit from our service and low prices. No cash or personal checks are accepted due to the exchange rates and clearing time issues.

Do you fill prescriptions from U.S. doctors?
Upon receipt of your American prescription and information requested, we will have a Canadian Doctor review your information and issue a prescription that can be filled in Canada.

Are the prices in Canadian or U.S. dollars?
All prices are in U.S. Dollars.

Is it safe to buy drugs from Canada?
For years, Americans have been crossing the border into Canada to have their prescriptions filled by professional and knowledgeable pharmacists. We are committed to bringing these services right to your door without the need of travelling to Canada. Canadian Medical and pharmaceutical standards have always been maintained on par or higher when compared to U.S. standards.

How much do you charge for shipping?
We charge a flat fee per order (not per drug) of only $13.00 to anywhere in the United States. This fee includes all packaging costs and preparation of U.S. customs forms. We use the Canadian and U.S. postal service.

Are there any other charges beside the cost of the drugs and shipping?
No, we do not charge any other fees and there are no hidden charges.

Why do some drugs have different names in Canada?
The manufacturer of the drug registers the brand name. In Canada some manufacturers could use a different name for the exact same drug. In some cases the drug may even look different but it is the same drug with the same active ingredients. An example of this is the popular drug Prilosec, which in Canada is offered from the same manufacturer under the brand name Losec.

What is the maximum quantity that I may order?
The United States Food and Drug administration (FDA) limits the quantity of medication mailed to a resident of the USA to a 3-month supply for personal use.

*We recommend you place your refill order, two months after you recieve it in the mail.

Are all American prescriptions available from Canada?
Almost all drugs available in the United States are available in Canada.

Do you charge any sales tax?
No sales tax is charged on drugs.

Can you transfer my prescription from my local pharmacy?
No, currently we cannot take transfers from your U.S. pharmacy. We require that you obtain a prescription from your doctor and mail or fax it to us along with the simple order forms.

Do you sell any narcotics such as Tylenol #3, Vicodin or similar medications?
No. We do not ship any narcotics across the border.

How long will it take to receive my order?
We require approximately two to three weeks for processing and shipping your initial order. Refills will also ship within 7-21 working days. But, in most cases your order will be shipped faster.

What are generic drugs? And what is the difference between a Brand name drug and a Generic?
Generic drugs are drugs on which the original manufacturer has lost the patent protection due to the passage of a certain amount of time. This time period is significantly shorter in Canada than in the United States. The generic drug must have the same active ingredient as the original brand, but it is simply made by a different drug manufacturer. These generic drugs provide the same therapeutic effect as the brand name drugs.

Are generic drugs you sell safe?
Absolutely, the Canadian generics we carry are just as safe and effective as U.S. generics or name brands. In Canada all drugs are very closely monitored by the government, which insures safety and quality.

Do you carry brand name or generic drugs? Are they the same drugs I typically buy in the USA?
Yes. Both are of the same quality to the drugs you now purchase in the USA from licensed pharmacies.

Is there a difference between American and Canadian medication?
There is no difference! The identical companies produce most medications that are acquired by American and Canadian pharmacies.

Are the drugs you carry the same quality as the drugs that I buy in the U.S.?
Yes. There is no difference in quality between U.S. and Canadian drugs. The same companies make most medications purchased by US and Canadian pharmacies. Very similar to the requirements in the U.S., the Canadian government has extremely stringent requirements and high standards coupled with a rigorous approval system for the manufacturing of medication. Many of the drugs sold in Canada are precisely the same as those sold in the U.S. and although identical drugs may appear physically different, their therapeutic effects are identical.

Is it possible that the pills I received from BCP look different than the pills I have obtained locally in the U.S.?
They may look identical, but if they don't, there can be a few reasons for this; such as a different drug manufacturer, a different look prepared for the Canadian market from the same manufacturer or it may be generic and therefore manufactured by a different drug company. But please rest assured, they are the same.

Is my personal information safe with you?
Your personal information is only viewed by pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and doctors, employees of BCP for the purpose of completing your order. All information is maintained safely in the strictest of confidence and is never released unless requested to by the patient to be returned.
